One of the best parades that I have ever seen was not filled with large floats or marching bands, but the July Fourth golf cart parade at Bald Head Island, NC, held on July 4, 2009.

“The July Fourth golf cart parade is a tradition at Bald Head Island, NC. We attempted to include a view
of every decorated golf cart and keeping the viewing time to a minimum we still exceeded 6 minutes.
The number of decorated carts was amazing and many of the participants went all out to impress
the crowd. A fun time was had by all in this family oriented celebration of American Independence.
May this tradition be passed on to generations to come.”
